Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Maine

Creditor Calling Neighbors

A creditor called a neighbor of mine to collect a debt. They stated that I had ''done work for them'' and that they were trying to reach me. I don't even know this neighbor! Can they really do this?

If this is a third party collector, YOU may have a lawsuit vs. THEM under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

Call or email if you wish to pursue.
