Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland

littering

I have a next door neighbor who has put pizza boxes and an empty plastic milk jug in her front yard and i have video surveillance of her kicking the milk jug onto the public sidewalk. and the police did nothing. is it not illegal to litter??? does no one care about how the streets look.

Yes, you could receive a citation for littering and pay a fine. But I think it would be more effective to politely explain your opinion than to call the cops.
