Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Separation agreements

My Husband had an affair and decided he wanted a divorce after 21 yrs. of marriage. I filed for the D. My atty. drew up a legal separation agreement which favored me ( alimony for 21 yrs.) He agreed at the time and signed it. we had it noterized. Now after dragging out the divorce process and after moving in with the other woman, he wants to overturn the agreement and move on with the divorce. Looks like it will have to be fought out in court. I do have proof of the affair. How likely would it be for the agreement to be overturned? By the way, I am 50, no college degree and a stay at home mom for the last 16 yrs. He makes 100,000+ and his other woman is very rich, giving him an account with $50,000 for his living expenses. We live in Maryland. Thanks

Re: Separation agreements

Did he have an atty? Did you give disclosure of all you finances to him? Generally, A Sep agreement is difficulty to void - especially if both parties disclosed and had attys. Of course, the way it is written is key. Unless he has a good reason to avoid the contract of sep, he will have a difficult time.
