Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland

I moved into a house on 7/29/00 and now it is 9/30/00 and there alot of repairs that were suppose to be done befroe we moved in that are still not fixed and some of them are dangerous like the back porch ceiling is literaly falling down I have given her a written notice of all the repairs that neede immediate attention She fixed 1 of them But has not made an attempt on any of the other ones I would like to go to Tenat Landlord court and ask for all of the rent back that i have paid due to the fact that i was not able to enjoy the stay so far at the house id that possible and do you think I have a case?

You should consult an attoney to evaluate whether your facts wold be appropriate for the filing of a rent escrow action and a suit for retroactive abatement of rent. This is probably the type of information that you can recieve by calling the bar association in your county and asking for the lawyer referral service -- in many Maryland counties you can get a referral to an attoney who will meet with you once on referral from the bar association for a small fee on matters like this(usually $40-$50).
