Legal Question in Consumer Law in Massachusetts

Diamond switch

I resently brought my Mom's diamond to a large jewelry store to be sized.. I am Almost certain that I did not get the same diamond back. I do have an appraisal of the ring but it is from 9 years ago. Is there anything I can do about this matter. And where do I start?

Re: Diamond switch

These things can happen accidentally or purposefully. First, you should ask the jeweler about this, and tell him precisely why you believe this. If the appraisal was a good one, the other appraiser can rate the present gem as against the information about that exists or described in the appraisal. After this, you can contact me.
