Personal medical records

I want to obtain a copy of my own personal medical records, I am being told that my Dr's office will charge me for these records before they release them to me. Legal??

As Raymond said, the answer to your question is yes. The charge is usually only an administrative or copying fee, though, and usually isn't too expensive.
