Legal Question in Employment Law in Michigan

Harassment

I have been with this company for almost a year, recently the company has hired a new manager. She is doing anything she can to get me fired. She has threatened my job to other employees, told people personal information about me, told other employees from an adjecent store that I am an idiot, worthless employee and that i am stealing. I am so stressed out over this. I feel I cant go to work without people thinking I'm this terrible person she is making me out to be. What can I do? Do I have any legal grounds??

Re: Harassment

What you can do right now is to always show up for work on time and do your job. Harassment is unlawful only if it is done for some illegal discriminatory reason.

Why is she making your job difficult? Is it because of your age, race, nationality, sex, weight, religion? Does she harass only you or are there others?

Don't quit until you talk to an attorney who will need to get more details from you.
