Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Michigan

Contributing to Minor Alcohol Consumption

My daughter often went to events for work with her boss. She is 20 years old and he obviously knew that. I found out that he supplied and allowed her to drink knowing she was underage. She no longer works there.... are there any charges I can press? Also, there were many witnesses to support her case... one including his lawyer.

If one of you pursues charges, your daughter is admitting to consuming alcohol while a minor, and could be charged with a misdemeanor. Not worth it.

Techinically, you could file a police report. However, why would you put your daughter through this? She has nothing to gain and can only be harmed. Let her move forward with her life and not dwell on whether she had a beer in the past. William S. Stern
