Durable Power of Attorney

I need to know if a DPOA is all I need to handle by father's affairs before and after his death? And will the DPOA keeps his assets out of probate?

Around here the DPOA is the Detroit Police Officers Association. Anyway, the power of attorney expires upon his death. It is useless. If property is solely in the decedent's name, you have to start probate to transfer the property. William S. Stern
