Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

Transfer of deceiced legal rights

I have a friend whose father just passed. He was still married but seperated from his wife for 4 years. His daughter would like to handle all of the funeral arrangements and the deligation of the property etc. The wife doesn't want anything to do with the final arrangements. What paperwork is needed for the wife to sign over all legal rights and responsibilities to the daughter so that she can handle the final arrangements?
