Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan
Unsecured Debt
We live in Michigan. My mother died and left me everything. Can her credit card companies make me sell her rental properties to pay her outstanding debt?

Re: Unsecured Debt
This is a bit tricky. Assuming there are "probate" assets, the debt is due and possibly negotiable. If there are no probate assets and you are on everything, they are out of luck, again assuming there is no secured debts. I would like to help you out on this matter and I have over a decade of probate experience. Visit me at www.kliszlaw.com to discuss. Tim Klisz
