Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Minnesota

My father passed away 5/04. He left a notarized statement stating that my husband and myself were to receive all of his personal belongings. All of the money that he had, he put into CD's and an annuity with my name and his on everything. The property that he did own was also put into my name. I have one brother which did not get along with my father or myself, so my father wanted him to receive nothing. Now, six years later, my brother is sending me threatening letters stating that since there was no will or no probate was done, that MN state law states that he is entitled to half of the estate. What is my brother entitled to?

In order to answer your question, I'd need to review the documents you are talking about. It is difficult to analyze your legal rights without reviewing the documents.
