Legal Question in Workers Comp in Minnesota

workmans comp. info.

i have recently been diagnosed with carpal tunnel and tendonitis, my job is all about using hands for everything, i do geothermal work and am currently through a recruiting service does this make me un eligible for work mans comp through the geo. company?

It appears your question may involve work you perform as an independent contractor. It's important to note that just because you may be called an independent contractor, it is likely that you are NOT an independent contractor in the eyes of many states including those here in Minnesota. It appears from your question that you may work trhoguh a temp agency. If that's the case, then your claim is to be filed with the temp agency. If you work for a subcontractor and the subcontractor does not have workers compensation insurance, then there may be coverage through the general contractor.
