A client has the freedom to fire theri atttorney at almost anytime in almost every case. Teh question of what fees are due to the attorney is based upon the work they did (or other work they passed over) for the cleint. It is called Quantum Meruit, and basically means what was earned. It is impossible to determine form yrou bare factual descrioption, what if any fudns are owed to your attorney. Hopefully, you two can reach an agreement. If not, the Missouri Bar provides a fee dispute resolution process for attorneys and their clients. If you two cannot agree, perhaps you should call the bar to get it settled through them.

Good luck
