Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Missouri

What is the exact law, specifically for Missouri and Illinois, that states a company has a legal obligation to accommodate an individual's religious practices as long as it does not create a hardship? Any other laws regarding religion and the workplace, or if I felt my religious beliefs were being ignored by my employer would be helpful as well.

Although I'm not familiar with specific Missouri or Illinois law on the matter, the baseline for you to start your research might be federal law. The "reasonable accommodation" duty comes into play with disabilities (and there is even international law on that subject), but from your question, it sounds like your focus is on religion.

The specific facts of each situation will come into play. For example, a particular religious practice or believe may be reasonably accommodated in one work environment or job description and not in another.

Take a look at http://www.eeoc.gov/policy/docs/religion.html, which is the Religious Discrimination section of the EEOC Compliance Manual.
