Legal Question in DUI Law in Missouri

I got a dui from national park ranger it's my understanding it is an administrative regulatory ticket. It's misdemeanor but n federal court. Is this ticket as bad as a criminal one? There's no jailtime so they won't give me a public defender. Do I need 2 pay $5000 4 a fed attorney 4 petty infractions! I'm confused. Please help? Thank you.

I have handled many cases of people charged with crimes on federal property (The Arch grounds in St. Louis, for example). These have ranged from DUI, to Public Urination, Indecent Exposure, Possession of Controlled Substances, Possession of Paraphenalia, Possession of Weapons, and others. Whoever told you that it would cost $5000 to hire an attorney is wrong. You should definitely hire an attorney who can practice in the Federal Courts, and hopefully you will be able to avoid a conviction on this charge. Even though the consequences of a conviction under these circumstances might be less severe than if you were charged with a state crime in state court, you still should avoid a conviction. I can guaranteee you that you can hire a competent attorney for a lot less thatn $5000. If you do not already have an attorney, you may feel free to contact me and I might be able to help you myself.
