grandparents rights to children

our children was taken away by dfs and my parents our wanting them but dfs is taking there time on getting everything done do they have rights

Your question did not include enough facts to give you a clear answer. You did not say WHY the kids were taken. If it was for an allegation of abuse or neglect, DFS often takes time to evaluate the situtation beofre putting children with grandparents. They operate under an assumption that abuse is learned for one's parents. They also believe that if a child has been abused or neglected over time, then in=town grandparents have been remiss in not stopping or reporting it.

As to legal rights, the law prefers to place children (who do not need specialized care) with a family member.
