Ending Rental arrangement

We moved into a home that the owner would like to sell. She said we had 6 months to decide if we wanted to buy the home. We pay rent each month and paid a damage deposit. We singed a paper stating we had 6 months to decide that was 3 months a go we do not want to buy and will be moving out. We also were not given a copy of this agreement. Should we expect a portion if not all of our deposit back, it was $750 and paid by money order stating it was a deposit.

You have not provided enough information to give you a definitive answer. You did not describe the other portions of the written agreement. However, you should be able to get back your deposit, minus costs of physical damage to the property and any agreed early termination penalty.
