Legal Question in Business Law in Nebraska

Service Business

I want to start a small service business. I will be creating the slideshow people play at their weddings that they generally project onto a large screen to watch. My question is...are there any legal issues I may come across by using music tied with the pictures? If I pay for each song thru itunes, does that give me legal ownership to use it how I like...OR...by paying for the song does it only give me the right to listen to the song? If there are any other legal issues that may arrise please let me know. Thank you for your time and help and I look forward to your response

Re: Service Business

You will need to contact BMI or ASCAP to obtain a license to use the music for that purpose. Buying a song from iTunes is a license for your personal use only. It is similar to buying a bus ticket; you don't own the bus and you can't share the ticket with 15 other passengers; it is for your use only.
