Is it possible to get a work permit if i been in the us over more than 16 yrs?

To be able to get a Work permit, you have to be eligible to apply for some immigration benefits which in addition provides for a work permit. It's impossible to just apply for a work permit by itself if there is no appropriate application pending with the USCIS or Immigration Court.
