Ms. Webster failed to mention that if the parents had a will, the Court would follow the parents' recommendation as to who the guardians should be.

I agree though that someone should act quickly for the benefit of the children.

You should become guardians of the children. You should retain an attorney to do so properly. Your attorney can file the petition, give the proper notice and set the matter on for a hearing before the court. You should also get certified copies of the death certificates of the deceased parents.
