Legal Question in DUI Law in New Hampshire

CDL dwi

Good afternoon,

I have an employee w/ a CDL in New Hampshire, currently is under suspension for DWI, (90 days), is his CDL under suspension for one year ? This is his first offense. Will he be able to return to work to drive a truck ?

Re: CDL dwi

If his CDL is restored at the end of the year, he can drive a truck. However, you should check with your insurance carrier as they may have certain conditions which must be met before they will permit him to drive for you.

Re: CDL dwi

If your employee is caught driving on a suspended CDL, both you and he face being fined up to $5,000 each, plus jail time.

Your employee will need to go to the DMV and apply to re-instate his CDL; and until he shows you proof that he has a valid CDL, you should not allow him behind the wheel of any of your vehicles.
