Adoptions

My husband and I have been involved in a long horrible battle over his daughter. His ex is finally engaged and we want to suggest that he adopt the daughter but dont know what the laws are?

Your question is lacking in detail so an appropriate answer is very difficult to provide. is the disagreement between you and your husband or between him and his Ex? If between him and his Ex, why the need for an adoption? Given the complexity of adoption law it would be a good idea for your husband to meet with an attorney to review the details of his situation so that a proper plan of action may be developed.
