Legal Question in Family Law in New Hampshire

My stepson goes to his fathers during the week to go to school and comes home on weekends. He is diagnosed with ADHD and is prescribed medication. His father refuses to give him his medication and when he comes home his behavior is awful. Can his father legally refuse to give him his meds or would this be considered neglect?

These are difficult situations. In all truth, it is probably best for his Mother and Father to work this out. As a step parent there are limited options for you to pursue unless you wish to bring legal action. Perhaps all of the adults involved could sit down with the health care provider and come up with an agreeable way to deal with the best interest of the boy.
