Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Hampshire

Condo-homeowner

I am a homeowner in a condo developement of townhouses. Since May, I have had a problem with my neighbor. From April to November he insists on running his air conditioner 24/7. For some reason, there is a loud humming noise, and vibration from the ac which is right next to our bedroom. Subsequently I have experienced little to no uninterupted sleep due to the noise. I have even tried earplugs, but they created an irritation in my ears from overuse. My property manager has been aware of this since May. She has spoken to my neighbor who claims it is a matter of ''life & death'' that the ac must run. She promised that the maintenance man would look at the ac and try to insulate it. So far, nothing has been done. Our condo rules state there is ''quiet time'' after 10:00 pm, using music, tv, radios as an example. But my peace and quiet is no longer available to me, and as a result, affecting my health. What are my legal rights in this matter?

Re: Condo-homeowner

Do some reseacrh on the quietest air conditioners made and buy one for your neighbor. It will be cheaper financially and emotionally than getting involved a fight.

Offer to pay cost of new Quiet AC or in the alternative get Noise cancelling headphones or a White noise machine.
