Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Hampshire

Property dispute

My Dad moved to NH from Mass five years ago. He bought a home and he, my sister and myself all signed the title. We also did the same thing with his money CD's.

We have recently had a falling out, and I don't see my Dad or sister any more. I heard that he was planning on selling the house and giving the money to my sister to build an addition on to her home for him to move into, thus, leaving me with nothing. Can they do this without my signiture? Can he change the money CD's, also?

This is really upsetting to me because I was the one who took care of all his affairs, before, during and after my Mother died and arranged for aand took him to all his medical appointments because he lived closer to me than my sister and it was expected of me and now I've been treated so badly and called ''controlling'' for trying to keep him safe and healthy , that I feel I deserve something. This is what I do for a living and am an advocate for the elderly, but they seem to have ganged up on me and are trying to find a way to disinherit me. I don't want to end up in a court battle with my sister, after my Dad is gone.

I don't know what the law is in NH, so would appreciate your help. I'm a single parent with not any extra finances.

Thank you.

Re: Property dispute

If the property was deeded to you, then you have an interest and unlikely anyone would buy it without you signing off. The cd's will depend upon how they are titled. It sounds like there is a lot of money at stake and well worth getting a lwyer.
