Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

I went to a institute and owe student loans that are now in default. I never recived a copy of my degree and I'm wondering since I did not ever get the copy am I responsible for the loans? Or does that affect anything at all?

Most likely, the loans are not dependent on getting the degree. However, you may want to show the loan documents to a lawyer to be sure.
