Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

we got a phone call from a collection agency saying we owed $8000.00 to a hospital that we have never gotten a bill from. Date of service was 4 yrs ago. Our insurance company said we are noy liable for this bill. The collector calls everyday & after 2 months has sent us a bill. I sent a copy of the insurance paper saying we are not liable. (The hospital is going through bankruptcy). They are threatening to ruin our credit if we don't pay them. What should we do? I am very nervous about this, they said we had to pay in full, we do not have that kind of money. Please help.

You could either use Google to learn about some methods of dealing with them which may provide you with mixed results or you could hire an attorney to try to make them go away. It shouldn't cost you a lot of money either as this is an out-of-court situation. Call me at 732/773/2768 to discuss.

Call me if you want a lawyer to help you. It sounds like they are threatening you in ways that are PROHIBITTED BY FEDERAL LAW. you may actually be able to sue them for that!

Give me a call, make an appointment to come see me, and I will go over this with you, and give you some advice.
