Maybe you should call your father and let him know whay's happening and maybe he can petition to modify the support and have the money come directly to you if the Courts would allow that....but hopefully you are on good terms with him (assuming he is the one paying the support...or you may wish to inititate court action yourself....you should seek an attorney's help.

Good luck

You could take your mom to court or have your father do it for you. Call me at 732/773/2768 to discuss further.

There is case law that would support the position that your parents should be paying your college expenses and your miscellaneous needs. I would think that your father would be willing to assist you in any claim you want to make or he could do it on his own.

Keep in mind that this advice is based purely on the little bit of information that you have given to me. There certainly may be other factors that would change my opinion. Further, no one can rely on advice from an attorney who has not been retained. Since it appears that you have not retained an attorney, you may want to contact a Family Law attorney (either me or someone else) to discuss your matter in more detail. Only then will you be able to rely on the advice. If you call me at 856-546-8010, mention Law Guru and your first one hour consultation will be free. Good luck! Rob Gleaner
