Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

I brought my vehicle (BMW 330i) into the dealer for service. While my car was in the care of the dealership my front windshield was damaged. I noticed the damage at pick up and notified them prior Ieaving the parking lot.

They checked the vehicle in during drop off and the checklist does not indicate the crack. They are telling me I can't prove it happened while the vehicle was in their possesion even though their technician checked in the vehicle. They will patch the window to prevent it from spreading any further but will not replace. What are my rights?
