father bust for child porn. police took both are computers. can i get a new one. or will they take that one even if i don~t share it with my dad. and sole mine only.

Your computer was seized because it may be (or contain) evidence of a crime. That does not prevent you from getting or using a new computer.

Note, though, that any evidence the authorities find on the computers they seized might implicate you as well as your father. That he's the only one who has been charged thus far does not mean you are in the clear. Even if you haven't committed any crimes, the evidence may make it appear that you have. That seems like it should concern you more than whether you can get a new computer.
