Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

statute of limitations on judgement from housing court

I lost a case some years ago in housing court to a slumlord and recently they froze my bank account. This trial occurred way back in the mid 90's. Is there a statute of limitations on this. How can I get a copy of my judgmenet to verify the date? I would appreciate any response. Thank you

A judgment is good in CA for 10 years (I think in NY for 20 years) and can be renewed. You can go to the court where it was entered and obtain a copy (you might have to dig it out of microfiche or the dusty archives).
