Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Do I have to pay back child support to new york that started in another state. Mother moved to ny york but did not let me know for 15 yrs did not get to see kids are even talk to them did not know where they where.

Under the Uniform Child Support Standards Act, child support does not depend on location or whether there is visitation between the noncustodial parent and the child. You are required to pay support your offspring especially if there is a valid support order from a court of competent jurisdiction.
