Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

Being sued

My tenant fell down the last stair, he said because the light bulb was out and he couln't see and now he is saying he is seriously injured. I have no insurance. Please Advise

It is not clear whether you have already been served with a summons and complaint. If so, an Answer needs to be filed within 30 days of service, or you must request an extension of time.
