who would inherit the estate of a man who commits suicide the same day his wife is put into a home because she is suffering damentia? Eleven days later the wife dies of natural causes. There is no will. The husband has several first cousins and the wife has one second cousin.

Since the wife survived, the husbands estate went to her. On her death, her heirs inherit under intestacy laws.

If there was no will, his property would pass to his spouse and children under the intestacy statutes.

If there are no children, the entire estate passes to the wife. If she has no will, the estate would pass to her relatives by the intestacy statutes.
