Legal Question in Workers Comp in New York

Employer problem

I filed a workers compensation claim early this year and just recently had my first hearing. My employer did not fight that the injury happened at work and was in fact the person who told me I should file. But now months later he has apparently called workers comp and told them that it did not happen on the job. What do I do? Can he do that? Do I have any options?

Re: Employer problem

Do you have a workers' compensation attorney fighting for your rights? If not, you should get one. There may be a hearing to determine if the accident was on-the-job or not. I'd need more information about your case. If you need an attorney, we specialize in workers' comp and have many offices in NY. Check out our web site and feel free to contact me.
