Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

Can I stop paying child support?

My daughter will be 18 in June 08 and will graduate HS in May 08. The modified custody order was filed/completed in NC. I pay directly to her mother... no garnishment, etc. All parties now live in TN. Do I need to file anything in NC to end the child support? I've also been given an ultimatum by her mother to decide how I will pay for her college edu. If there was no agreement in the custody modification, do I need to concern myself with the college question?

Re: Can I stop paying child support?

Two questions there -- do you have to file anything to stop your child support, and do you need to concern yourself with "the college question"?

No to both questions.
