If you are seeking to become the personal representative of an estate you must make an appointment with the Circuit Court Probate Office in your county (probably Fairfax County in your zip code). All the forms needed to complete your appointment will be provided and filled out by the clerk.

You will need to take a copy of the death certificate and, if there was a will, the original of the will to the Probate Office.
