Legal Question in DUI Law in Ohio

Drinking with underage

I was in the passenger side of a vehicle with a 20 year old driving that was drinking, and got pulled over. the police found an open 6 pack of beer in the back seat. we both were arrested. I am 22 and they thought I bought the beer. Which I didn't. If i plead not guilty i have to prove myself. if i plea guily what kind of punishment would I get? I need to know how toprove myself innocent. I didn't buy the achohol.

Re: Drinking with underage

YOU DEFINITELY NEED TO GET A LAWYER, EITHER HIRED OR APPOINTED FOR YOU IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD IT. PREPARE FOR TRIAL BY GETTING THE ADDRESSES OF EACH WITNESS TO YOUR ATTORNEY IMMEDIATELY. ONLY BY A SHOW OF STRENGTH WILL THIS GO AWAY.

Actually it's the State that has to prove your guilt. Get an attorneyl. There are a number of ways to refute what the prosecutor intends to show.

Please call if you have any questions.
