Legal Question in Insurance Law in Ohio

car damage

i left my suv at a midas shop to get an estiment for brakes..the price was about $370 it was too much..he told me he would keep the keys until i paid a $25 estiment charge..next day i sent the $25 to pick up my car..and the car was still there but the car had been broken into..seems like someone tried to steal it..i had a police report filed..on the spot....midas says they are not responsible for the damages but that they would fix it for $429 i paid them..can i get this money back? they had my keys when the damage happened and it was in their care if i put in the wrong area of law please send to correct people who can advise my what to do to get this moned back

I believe they are responsible and that when you left the suv at their request it became a bailment. You should try small claims court, it was made for these kinds of cases.
