Legal Question in Employment Law in Ohio

Terminated while on Medical Leave..

I am on medical leave, My original return date was changed by my neurologist , and seconded by my family doctor. They sent all the appropriate paperwork to my employer (which I have copies of) , However the person who was handling it left the company, Another person took over and sent a letter to me stating If I didnt return to work in 5 days, I was terminated...Is this legal? Also note I was required to call off work everyday, which I did...even though I was under doctors care, and on disability , But to this date havent been paid for last 7 weeks. Also Note they cleaned my deck off, and set all my personal belongings outside my door at my residence and didnt inform me they did that..Please advise My neurologist and Doctor are shocked and both stated this is illegal...

thank you

Re: Terminated while on Medical Leave..

Did you fill out intermittent FMLA papers. Is there a consecutive absence results in termination

company rule? Your case is complicated and will require investigation and legal research.
