Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Ohio

Medical Custody

My son joined a rehab program to get off of oxy cotton. The program consists of methadone treatments daily, with a high weekly cost (not covered by insurance). He has been in this program for 11 months now, and he seems much more strung out than he was before he joined. He is having a hard time with every day activity, and his personality has changed. How can I find an acceptable program, I think this clinic is taking advantage of the $$ and keeping him on methadone. Also, how can I obtain legal custody of my 23 year old son? He is not making clear and sound decisions. Please advise.

I thank you in advance for your time and consideration in this matter.

Re: Medical Custody

At this point he can check himself out, but if you want to start making decisions for him, you will have to apply to the Probate court to have him considered incompetent.
