Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma

Child Support Money

My ex and I divorced in 2007 and we both still live in Oklahoma and I’m on a set child support schedule. She has now remarried two months ago, just become pregnant and asking for more money for our daughter. Does her new husband’s income come into account for what I pay her?

The only reason I ask is because we share custody evenly and I don’t think she needs more money because she is now making more then I did from when we got divorced and our payments were set.

Let me know anything that you can or if you need anymore info from me.

Thank you.

Re: Child Support Money

Basically, child support is based upon the incomes of the parties and the number of nights the child spends with each parent. Your ex-wife's new husband's income would not be a factor in determining the child support.
