Legal Question in Consumer Law in Pennsylvania

Credit of Over Charge

I purchased a pair of shoes from Famous Footwear. When checking out the clerk swiped my debit card, the register crashed the clerk took me to another register assured me that the charge would only occur once. Upon checking my bank statement I found that my account had been debited twice. Same transaction 2 different chaser #'s.

Contacted the bank, contacted Famous, they assured me that in 8 to 10 business days it would be reversed it was not. I contacted Famous Footwear Customer Service and I was put on hold for a long period of time. Then was informed that I had to now write a letter and fax it. The person I talked to refused to let me speak to a Supervisor and gave me an incorrect fax #. What options do I have?

Re: Credit of Over Charge

Write a letter to an upper level executive at Famous Footware outlining your concern. Do a google search on Famous Footware to see who their parent company is and track down someone in operations or the legal department.
