Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

While waiting in line at an amusement park a boy around the age of 10-12 kept splashing me with water. I asked his mother to please get him to stop. She just laughed at me with him. He then proceeded to splash water all over me. When I asked her again to please get him to stop it she folded her arms as said, ''You move up!'' I told her that she and I were both aware that there was no place to move to. I turned my back so that the water wasn't splashing all over me. I was extremely annoyed by this child and his mother. As the line moved along he began to hit me in the back with his arms and knees. At this time I turned to him and said, ''I am tired of you and your f-ing mom, stop hitting me!'' His mother grabbed my shirt and started pulling me down the stairs. I held onto the railing and told her to get off of me. She wouldn't, so with my other hand I grabbed her arm and tried to stop her from pulling me down. This did not work either because she still had my shirt and wouldn't let go. I let go of the railing and punched her in the face. She let me go and went to find a cop. The officer gave me a fine/ citation for harassment. Eventhough I threw the first punch, isn't this self defense? Could I be found guilty in a trial?

Yes, of battery. Get a lawyer who might be able to help you out of it on self-defense.
