Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
Is it legal for the District Attorney to prosecute me for a DUI when his law firm represents my family?
1 Answer from Attorneys
Um, I'm not so sure this is the type of complaining you want to do! If anything, I would think that the D.A. would be biased in *favor* of you, not against, given the prior (or current) affiliation -- which could mean a sweeter deal for you.
Ethically speaking, however, I think there could definitely be a problem. I would certainly bring it up with your lawyer. And if you don't already have a lawyer, you need to go hire one now. Best of luck to you.
