DUI on a golf cart

i was arrested for driving a golf cart under the influence of alcohol. My blood alcohol level was .20%. Can I be charged with a DUI on a golf cart like I have been charged for in my pick up truck before?

Re: DUI on a golf cart

First you need to meet with an attorney and provide them with any and all viable information / evidence on your case, but yes the Golf cart may fall under the DUI statute. The sooner you retain legal counsel the better your defense.

Re: DUI on a golf cart

It really depends on where you were driving the golf cart, and other factors. You should get an attorney who is familiar with DUI laws to represent you. I see that your zip code is in Clarion County...I practice in Armstrong, Clarion and surrounding areas. I offer free initial consultations, so give me a call or email me if you'd like to discuss.

A motorized golf cart may qualify as a vehicle under the DUI statute. If the cart was not driven on a roadway, it might not be covered by the statute. You need to review all of the facts of your case with an attorney to discuss if this is a viable defense. I offer free consultations.
