Legal Question in Insurance Law in Pennsylvania
Hospital sent me a bill for $110,000.00 saying I owe them the bill for my surgery in March 10, 2009. I have a pre cert from Feb 2009 that authorized payment for my surgery. They waited to submit the bill unitl april and my insurance was canceled. What happens next? I dont have $110,000.00 .

If your ins was in force on date of surgery the ins co should be paying. It doesn't matter that you don't have ins now. The relevant time period is the date of service, not the date of billing. Contact both the hosp & the ins co find out why ins co not paying. Usually the hosp sends the bill to the patient so you will contact the ins co & start complaining.
