Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Pennsylvania

xray cloudy

last year my mom died. in july of 2001 i took her to a hospital because she had a seizure. they did the normal chest xray and there was a spot that was cloudy that the radiologist blew off as a spot where ribs crossed. over the course of the next year she lost 40 pounds and we took her back into the same hospital in march 2002 and they took another xray. in that cloudy area was now a cancerous mass. they determined that she had sarcoma. now to me thats a little fishy that the same area produced a tumor.. any advice would be great.

Re: xray cloudy

Whether the cloudy area on the earlier film was misread cannot be determined without an examination of the films. In a case of this kind it is also important to establish that the delaly in diagnosis caused an injury or a substantial worsening of prognosis. We require further details in order to be of any further help. Re: xray cloudy

I am very sorry about your mother. We would need to review the films, and other items, to determine whether there is a valid claim. Can you provide some details about your mother- age, employment status, prior medical conditions, general health condition. Please contact me if you would like to explore this. Richard K.
