Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania

Railroad personal injury lawsuit

I am permanently disabled due to repetitive stress injuries while working for a large railroad. The lawyers handling my lawsuit are not responsive to me, ignore phone calls and tell me that the railroad is calling the shots. They have also made statements that the railroad has never paid over a certain amount - so that is it. I do not think these lawyers are representing me - they seem more worried about the railroad. What are my options. Can I fire them and find another lawyer to handle my case. Am I in any way obligated to these current lawyers?

Re: Railroad personal injury lawsuit

Dear Sir:

Sorry that you feel abandoned by your lawyers. That's a shame and you should talk to them about it and tell them that you are not happy.

If, however, you do decide to switch laywers, then your new lawyer should be able to work something out with them as far as their payment goes so that you do not have to worry about that.

It sounds like you're working on a compensation case right now. I handle claims such as these in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Florida.

Call me at 215.850.9400 if you'd like to chat about this more and learn about some of your options.

Take care and good luck.
